Privacy notice
Last updated: [TO CONFIRM: date]
This notice explains what personal data we collect when you visit this page or book a Roadmap Call, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is [TO CONFIRM: Viviana Feitor, lawyer, professional license no. …, or Reis Pinto Law, with registered address and tax number].
For any privacy question or request, write to [TO CONFIRM: email address].
What we collect and why
- When you book a Roadmap Call. Your name, email, and the answers you give in the booking form (your situation, when you plan to move and where your income comes from), plus any notes you add. We use them to prepare and hold your call and to send you the materials you asked for: your Relocation Plan, the Visa Cheat Sheet and the Cost of Living Snapshot. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a possible engagement (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Follow-up after your call. A small number of emails to answer questions about your plan. Legal basis: the same as above and our legitimate interest in following up on a request you made (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can ask us to stop at any time.
- Occasional emails about moving to Portugal. Only if you tick the separate box in the booking form. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with one click or by email.
- Measuring our ads. Meta's pixel loads only if you accept cookies on this page. It tells us whether visits from our ads lead to booked calls. Legal basis: your consent.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider processes basic connection data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the page. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
We do not sell your data, and we never use it for automated decisions about you.
Who handles your data for us
- Calendly, for the booking calendar and confirmation emails.
- [TO CONFIRM: email provider, e.g. Google Workspace], for email.
- [TO CONFIRM: hosting provider, e.g. Cloudflare], for hosting this page.
- Meta Platforms Ireland, for ad measurement, only with your consent.
- Reis Pinto Law, the firm through which legal services are provided, if you decide to go ahead.
Transfers outside Europe
Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where your data leaves the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. [TO CONFIRM for each provider]
How long we keep it
If you don't become a client, we delete your booking data [TO CONFIRM: e.g. 24 months] after our last contact. If you become a client, we keep your file for as long as professional and legal obligations require. Marketing consent lasts until you withdraw it.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this doesn't affect anything done before. Write to [TO CONFIRM: email address] and we'll reply within one month.
You also have the right to complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (cnpd.pt).
Cookies and similar technologies
- Your cookie choice. We store whether you accepted or rejected cookies in your browser, so we don't ask again on every visit. This is strictly necessary and needs no consent.
- Meta pixel. Only after you click "Accept". Meta may set its own cookies to measure ad performance.
- Booking calendar. When the calendar loads, Calendly may set its own cookies and shows its own notice for them.
You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of the page.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we use your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
